The mothers day stall is always a lovely opportunity to see what your children think you would like……..Having helped out on the stall before, I have to say it is adorable to watch the children decide how to spend their money – would mum prefer a $2 smelly soap or a $5 comb? Although the presents may not always be Gold Standard quality – the pride in the kids faces that they get to choose (without parental encouragement), the concentration that goes into working out their money, and the collaboration between siblings to get the right presents, makes this more than just a P&C fundraiser. Its a lovely example of them getting to try out making good decisions on their own, and in the end that is what every Mum really want for mothers day….
