P & C meeting, 19th June 2013

The P & C meeting covered a number of topics this month. Some really positive outcomes were agreed on.

  • Canteen: This has been an ongoing topic for a number of years. There have been reviews done in the past and for a variety of reasons, it has not been pursued. However, Leanne Daniels has volunteered to take up the challenge and is going to be working towards getting the canteen running one day per week, with the hope that it can be extended to more days over time. A successful canteen requires lots of volunteers for it to work. So, if you have a spare few hours in your day please volunteer. You can either provide your name in the book being held at the school reception, or email lathlainfundraising@gmail.com and ask to be added to the volunteers list specifically for the canteen. Lets support Leanne to make this a success.
  • The P & C has agreed to provide the school substantial financial support in acquiring enough interactive whiteboards for all classrooms. Whilst there are not quite enough funds for all the classrooms, by the end of the year we hope to be close. So most P&C efforts for this year will be directed towards this goal.
  • As a result of P&C fundraising a number of items have been added to the school. A new chilled water fountain has been installed out the front of the art room and a new sounds system has been installed with professional choral microphones. It is reported Mrs. Holly is very happy with the quality of these products.
