At the 1st P&C meeting held on Wednesday night it was noted that the school has had low numbers of P&C contributions (approximately 100 out of 500 students). P&C contributions allow the P&C to help the school provide things that are outside the usual budget. We have paid for extra supplies to the teachers, books for the school, Marquee’s and flags for sporting events, IT equipment and electronic whiteboards in classrooms, cold drink dispensers outside classrooms, . It also provides the background finances required to run the canteen and uniform shops which benefit both parents and students. Each year the teachers provide the P&C with a “wish list” of items they feel would enhance the school and the P&C tries to fulfill each item it can. So when you contribute to the P&C you can be assured the money goes directly to items the school and your students will use and it allows the P&C to purchase those items in a timely manner (we have less bureaucracy).
Contributions are completely voluntary but we suggest $30 per child or $70 for 2+ children. You can pay in lots of different ways
- Via eftpos at the school reception,
- Directly to the P&C bank account, BSB: 066128 Account No:901 462
- Cash in an envelope to P&C box at reception
- This Friday at Picnic at the green there will be a P&C member available to take contributions.
So if you haven’t been sure why you would contribute, or if you just forgot or perhaps haven’t had the opportunity – please chat to the P&C rep on Friday and use the opportunity to make a contribution to the school.
